Jacques Dudon is a french multi instrumentist born in 1951 at Villecresnes (a small town in the east south of the Paris suburbs). At 17 years of age, he self-taught himself how to play the guitar before creating a band of electric Blues “The Soul Bag”. Under the pseudonym of Ghislain, he was considered as one of the best French guitarist, with a particular style, playing the guitar on his knees. After changing the drummer many times, the band changed its name for “Ghislain Blues Band” and then finally to “Blues Bag”.

In 1968, the band discovered LSD and the music turned to a strong psychedelic style, the band would play solo for 45 minutes and they would perform a liquid show.

The band recorded a single with EMI under the name of l’Assemblée (“Le chien” a legendary tracks present on many psychedelic compilation) before going their separate ways.

Thererafter, in 1969, Jacques Dudon recorded some tracks alone on acetate for an album but the project collapsed and the music was never edited until now.

After 1969, Jacques Dudon played with a lot of band. He appeared at the Festival d’Amougies with the french band “We free” and at the Biot Festival where he played after Franck Zappa for two hours. Making crazy music with special amplified guitars to produce feedback playing chords with different objects in glissando, a process he was the first to ever use according to David Allen.

At the end of 1969, he joined the “Pre-Crium Delirium” band and went on the road with the “Hog Farm” for a trip to Kathmandu via Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan. They organised the first Kabul rock festival in 1970, and stayed in India until 1974, until the political climate changed and the government decided to ban hippies and jail them, which was a good way for the local police to make money. After all these dramatic adventures, he returned to France and invented the process of photophonic synthesis, becoming a master of microtonal music.

He continued to participate in many projects in the south of France, building a new instrument, the Dulcevina, with 22 notes by octave in accordance with the 22 indians shrutis. In 1979, with this instrument he played some music for a project named “Dedicace” used by Alexandro Jodorowsky for his movie “Tusk”.

In 1981, he wrote a book “Music With Water” and created 150 instruments to build yourself working with water.

Near Marseille, he created a school for harmonic exploration, psychoacoustic music and initiation to polyrhythmic vocal and organised music festivals, moving in the Var. At present, he is settled in Saint Afrique and in the south of the Aveyron where he continues his musical activities.
